The Opportunity
Marriott is finalizing the construction of a brand new adult-only hotel on the beautiful Island of Curaçao. The name of the Hotel is Pyrmont and is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, a global collection of distinctive independent hotels carefully crafted to leave a lasting imprint.
Job Summary
The Food & Beverage worker is responsible for serving guests while ordering & consuming food and beverages in one of the 5 different restaurants at the hotel. This service must be personalized and exceeding customer expectations, as our goal is to provide a genuinely warm and exceptional service experience to our visitors.
Furthermore, teamwork is essential, as this is the foundation for managing a restaurant in an organized and structured manner.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties range from preparing and organizing the service area to providing personalized customer service, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
Their responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting the menu, and offering expert recommendations, taking and processing orders, serving food and beverages impeccably, and ensuring the end of service. They must also maintain cleanliness, follow food safety protocols, and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.
Work Schedule
Schedules are assigned on a rotating basis as specified by your designated supervisor.This position reports to the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities
Before Service
- Prepare the serving area: Arrange tables, chairs, glassware, linens, and other necessary items to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
- Ensure mise en place: Verify that all materials are in perfect condition and that all supplies are available.
During Service
- Greet and Greet Guests: Welcome guests with kindness and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
- Present the menu and advise if necessary: Describe the menu, explain the chef's specialties, and offer recommendations based on the customer's tastes.
- Taking and Relaying Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff efficiently.
- Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver dishes and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner.
- Attend to Needs: Be attentive to customer requests and needs throughout the meal.
At the end of service
- Remove dishes and clean up: Collect dirty dishes, clean tables, and prepare the area for the next customer.
- Also : Proper complaint and problem management (if applicable): Handle customer complaints and comments professionally and resolve issues appropriately.
Profile
- Professionals in Tourism and Hospitality or related fields
- Age range : 25-30 years
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Good command of English (B2 - C1)
- Experience in hotels or restaurants with large volume of guest
- Easy adaptation to another country and culture
- Willing to relocate to Curacao
- Proactive and highly committed attitude

Job offer
- Legal long-term employment contract (we seek professionals willing to build a career with us)
- Salary in USD between 1250-1500 per month
- Service charge of approximately USD 750 per month (depending on hotel requirements)
- Accommodation only upon arrival in Curaçao; after a certain period, candidates will need to find accommodation independently.
- Public transportation on the island is very easy, but the hotel has vans to pick people up at the bus stop (the bus stop is 8 minutes from the hotel).
