To support our continuous growth in Colombia and Ecuador want to expand our Service team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Service Tech in Colombia.

Havetec plans to grow in LATAM and this position is the first in the region. They will invest significantly in the training and onboarding of the final candidate. It is important that you is looking for a long term career and not a job for a few years. 

Service Technician Colombia

The Role

As Service Technician Colombia you are part of our Service Department. Together with the team you are responsible for installing and maintaining our machines. At the same time you are also our “ambassador” in Colombia. This is a challenging position within a professional organization.

Your Work

• Carry out maintenance and installations at customers within Colombia & Ecuador  and occasionally outside those countries as well;
• Diagnose, resolve and document electrical and mechanical faults, including clear administrative follow-up;
• Build up technical knowledge of Havatec machines. 
• Read drawings, schematics and documentation and adjust them where necessary;
• Participate in on-call shifts together with colleagues;
• Coordinate activities with the work planner;
• Guide/mentor new colleagues and interns;
• Report to the Service Manager.

What do you bring?

• You are capable of communicating fluently in English (spoken and written).
• You have a background in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering 
• You have sufficient knowledge about Electrical and Control Systems.
• A relevant Degree and at least 3 years of work experience.
• Preferably you also have some engineering skills (Solid Edge/ E-Plan)

• You are eager to respond proactively & flexible to new situations.
• You communicate clearly & concisely in speech & writing
• You feel comfortable to accurately document procedures and working methods.

• You have a valid driver’s license & car. You will be able to use your own car for the job and the company will reimburse you.
• You are willing to attend courses and/or training.
• Preferably you also have some commercial skills; you don't need to sell but it would be great if you could spot opportunities at clients and inform sales about them.
• Preferably you have leadership abilities in case we grow the team in the future.
