Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager is a key leader with The Pyrmont’s F&B team, responsible for the daily operation, service excellence, and guest satisfaction of one of the resort’s dining venues. This role ensures that the restaurant delivers a distinctive, seamless, and elevated dining experience aligned with The Pyrmont’s identity as an all-inclusive, adult-sonly Autograph Collection property.
The Restaurant Manager leads the front-of-house team and helps bring the restaurant concepts, story and personality to life. This role leads, trains, and inspires the restaurant team to deliver warm, intuitive, and engaging service, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and financial performance. This role is hands-on, guest-facing, and essential in shaping the culture and success of the restaurant.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are an experienced restaurant manager who worked independently in well known hotel or fine dining restaurants.
You bring top level professionalism combined with an inviting & warm personality that matches the Caribbean island vibe.
Delivering Excellent Customer Service has been your main goal during your hospitality career.
You feel very comfortable in an international environment and can speak several languages of which English, Dutch and Spanish are the most important ones.
You enjoy working with and managing international restaurant crews.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service flow, ambiance, table management, and guest satisfaction.
Conduct pre-shift briefings, station assignments, and floor plans to ensure efficient staffing and service readiness.
Maintain consistent implementation of Autograph Collection and The Pyrmont brand standards, SIPs, and service sequences.
Partner with the culinary team to ensure string communication, accurate order flow, proper food presentation, and timely service.
Monitor restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, music, lighting, and overall atmosphere to ensure optimal guest experience.
Manage reservations, walk-in flow, and guest seating to maximize both guest satisfaction and restaurant efficiency.
Oversee opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth transitions and readiness for service.
Manage labor scheduling aligned with business needs, guest volume, and budget targets.
Monitor operating costs, inventory usage, breakage, and internal controls to ensure proper cost management.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
Welcome and greet guests with warmth, ensuring every interaction feels personal and memorable.
Engage personally with guests to gather feedback on quality, service, and overall dining experience.
Act as a visible presence on the floor, greeting guests, supporting servers, and stepping in to assist during peak period.
Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism, empathy, and timely follow-up.
Analyze guest feedback from Marriott systems, online reviews, and in-person comments to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Supervise staffing levels to ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and cost control.
Inspire team members to deliver authentic, anticipatory service that reflects the spirit of The Pyrmont Curaçao.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Continuously strive to elevate service standards and guest satisfaction.
Lead by example, embodying the property’s culture of genuine care and attention to detail.
Review guest feedback and comment cards with the team, celebrate successes, and identify areas for improvement.
Communicates promptly with the Chef and leadership team regarding food quality, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction.
Communicates effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates through all appropriate channels.
Team Development and Leadership
Recruit servers, hosts, bartenders, and supervisors.
Lead ongoing training and development initiatives on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and wine/beverage knowledge to build a confident, knowledgeable, and motivated team.
Promote a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and accountability.
Sets and communicates clear expectations aligned with job responsibilities and brand standards.
Provides regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to encourage individual and team success.
Ensure all team members are equipped with the proper tools, supplies, and uniforms to deliver seamless service.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with Curaçao regulations, health and sanitation standards, and Marriott brand requirements.
Conduct regular inspections to uphold safety, cleanliness, and service standards.
Maintain proper food safety protocols, temperature logs, allergen awareness, and hygiene practices.
Monitors and upholds responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with local laws and company policy.
Identifies and upholds high standards for product quality, presentation, and overall dining aesthetics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in restaurant or food & beverage leadership, ideally within a luxury or upscale hotel or resort environment.
Experience with all-inclusive or multi-venue F&B operations is an asset.
Proven ability to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in service, quality, and guest satisfaction.
Strong understanding of food & beverage service standards, menu knowledge, food safety, and hygiene compliance.
Demonstrated skill in budgeting, cost control, and achieving financial targets while maintaining premium service levels.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.
Experience in managing guest feedback and implementing strategies to enhance service performance.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Passionate about hospitality, delivering memorable guest experiences, and representing The Pyrmont Curaçao’s culture of excellence.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu are an advantage.

Job Offer
Work and live on one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.
Salary between USD 3,000 and USD 4,500 gross per month (depending on experience).
We do not offer accommodation; however, our manager benefits package includes the following:
Flight to Curaçao
Visa processing and work permit handled and paid for by Pyrmont.
Choice between assistance with shipment of household up to a certain amount or a one-time allowance in Curacao up to a certain amount for furnishing of apartment.
Participation in the quarterly management bonus program. The potential bonus is half a month's salary per quarter.
