The role

You lead the team that builds our product, and you own where that product goes. We build systems that governments run on, and at our size the two responsibilities of team & product ownership sit together deliberately.

What you will do

• Line-manage, coach, and develop the people who build the product: 1-on-1s, goals, feedback, personal growth

• Own and prioritize the backlog, and hold a product direction you can defend

• Plan and manage scope, and step in when delivery or client issues need a structured approach

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and champion security and quality within the team

What are we looking for

Three things matter most:

• proven line management,

• a delivery track record you can evidence,

• and strong communication to align a client and a team on the same day.

What would be a good foundation?

• Around 5 years leading both people and delivery.

• PRINCE2, Scrum or comparable structured delivery training or demonstrable equivalent experience.

• Product ownership background and CSPO/PSPO are valued additions.
