Position Summary
As Assistant Front Office Manager, you are the heartbeat of our guest experience. You will support the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Guest Experience Hub-Reception, At Your Service, Guest Services, Concierge, and Bell Services. This role ensures that associates deliver exceptional guest experiences that reflect The Pyrmont’s Autograph Collection identity: unique, memorable, and personalized. The Assistant Front Office Manager is a hands-on leader, fostering a culture of hospitality, training, and accountability while driving operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of Front Office or Rooms Division experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role (luxury or lifestyle brand experience is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of hotel systems (preferably Opera PMS, Marriott systems).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and professionalism.
Multilingual abilities (English required, Dutch, Spanish, or Papiamentu a strong plus)
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
Assists the Front Office Manager in supervising all aspects of the Front Office, AYS, Guest Services, Concierge, and Bell Desk.
Ensures smooth operations of daily shifts, managing staffing levels, scheduling, and task delegation.
Handles guest feedback, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, turning challenges into opportunities.
Ensures flawless arrivals and departures, with special focus on VIPs, repeat guests, and celebrations.
Collaborates with Housekeeping, Reservations, Sales and other departments to ensure flawless guest experiences.
Supervises the Front Office and Guest Services team in delivering personalized, authentic, and memorable experiences.
Creates surprise-and-delight moments and collaborates with F&B, housekeeping, and guest experience teams to elevate service standards.
Acts as a brand storyteller and ambassador, inspiring associates to share Curaçao’s culture, experiences, and local insights with guests.
Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
Supervises all day-to-day operations. Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.
Analyzes guest feedback, online reputation scores, and service metrics to identify trend improvement opportunities.
Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
Ensures compliance with all Front Office policies, standards, and procedures.
