Position Summary
As Head Butler, you will lead and oversee the Butler Services team, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and exceptional guest experience throughout the entire guest journey. You will be responsible for setting the highest standards of service, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring that individual preferences and special requests are handled with care and attention to detail.
Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Head Butler, Butler Supervisor, Butler Manager, or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Extensive experience in personalized guest service, luxury hospitality, or guest relations.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality and personalized service standards.
• Professional, discreet, and guest-focused approach.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily operations of the Butler Services team.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of personalized, attentive, and proactive service throughout the guest journey.
• Monitor and manage guest preferences, special requests, VIP arrangements, and special occasions.
• Ensure Butler services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with established resort and brand standards.
• Develop and maintain effective communication and coordination between Butler Services and other operational departments.
• Handle complex guest concerns and complaints professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
• Conduct daily briefings and communicate important operational information to the Butler team.
• Train, coach, mentor, and support Butler team members in their professional development.
• Monitor team performance, service quality, grooming, and adherence to established standards.
• Assist with scheduling, task allocation, and ensuring appropriate coverage based on operational needs.
• Review guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve the Butler service experience.
• Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and ensure relevant information is communicated appropriately and confidentially.
• Ensure the Butler team has comprehensive knowledge of the resort's facilities, restaurants, services, activities, and available guest experiences.
• Support the Front Office and other operational teams when required to ensure a seamless overall guest experience.
• Monitor Butler supplies, equipment, and operational resources and communicate any requirements or concerns.
• Ensure all guest information is handled with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment within the Butler Services team.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the resort.
Job Offer
• Starting average base gross salary of $1,801
• Uniform.
• 1 warm meal per workday in our associate cafeteria.
• Service charge is distributed monthly based on hotel occupancy and overall financial performance.
• Access to learning and development through The Pyrmont Academy.
• A vacation allowance of 5% of the gross salary, pro-rated based on your start date and payable in June of every year.
• BVZ health insurance plan.
• On-the-job coverage AD&D insurance.
• A vision and dental plan will be available after 1 year of service. More details of this program will be presented to you.
• A pension plan will be available upon entering into an indefinite work agreement.
• As part of the total rewards package, an end-of-year bonus equivalent to 80 hours of gross salary will be rewarded, pro-rated based on average hours worked.
